Have just hung out with hang sengers to fo tan tai yuen, having blue ribbon beers and late night meal. have learnt a new game during drinking, which is extremely fun! two poor guys vomitted, wt the hell.
gonna be pretty busy this week
knowing to leave the campus soon, really don't want to put so much effort on pursuing academic excellence, like other ppls who r going to study mphil, they r really lucky. if i can tolerate my life in bch, i will definitely choose to study mphil and enjoy 2 more years of university life. i dont mean that life in bch is a piece of shit to everybody, but just a guy like me who hates dull things. somebody said to me that doing work lab is a job that make someone feels lonely. yes i think so. i can withstand loneliness and to certain extent i enjoy it, but not dullness. i will definitely give more respect to researchers in this field as i know that it is really not a easy job.
for those aiming at further study, they have less to worry about in this poor condition for job seekers. for me, i am not in that sort of worrying mood, but when challenges come everyone will become jittery, it is normal. frankly speaking, i am really considering a switch from research fyp to literature review. it is not because of other stuffs. mmw 612 is undoubtedly a good lab, pals in there are enthusiastic towards research. prof tsang is good too as she does care about the research and i admire her scientific mind.
change indeed happens to my mindset. after experiencing research project in real terms, i simply realize i am not the kind of person who gonna do this. then y did i choose to do research fyp at the beginning? damn, everybody should have a try, isnt it, especially in this science subject.
after a switch to literature review, everyone may be benefited. the research project that i am participating in may proceed in a faster pace. prof tsang and lab colleagues are not annoyed by my attitudes anymore. also i may gain more free time to prepare job interviews, job seeking matters, etc. next sem is the last sem in my life not like other potential mphil students. i am not going to put my life in a turmoil of lab work.
havent decided yet though. at least i gonna check whether the research is viable in these few weeks. if not, i simply dont choose to switch to other researchable topics. i just put an end to my research life.
ha, beers provoke my thought instead of putting me into sleep, wts wrong with my brain.
time to end it here. i am going to have my second last final exam in my university life in less than 3 hours. congratulations to me! recently i think i am really a "poisonous boy". but i just cant resist gta4 and prince of persia, both are so classical in pc game history.
Regarding to "KM Chan scandal", I want to appreciate Prof Chan's move despite of a overall negative response from bch students.
That Prof Chan has taken photos during the class might not be a very appropriate action to deal with worsening lesson-skipping activities. It surprised me when Prof Chan could stand out against lesson-skipping activities while other honourble professors just stick firmly to their rules of ignorance. For example, Prof "MM" seemed to be unsuspicious about the phenomenal decrease of attending students when we were taking IBM. I even think that she would not mind if she has to present her pointless powerpoint slides to an empty classroom. Being ignorant to the status of students attendance, she can also save the efforts of revising her notes.
Prof Chan is different. He cares about the unsatisfactory attendance status. He has expressed his angar towards fake signatures on the attendance sheet. He has even taken photos to record sleeping students. He deliberately changed the mark distribution so as to down downgrade the bad students. All of the above rendered bch yr1 furious. To me, the scandal marked a milestone of bch teaching staff's first assault on students.
Interestingly, Prof Chan is/was a member of Democratic Party. This links me to the thought that Prof Chan may also has a left view on education. Thus, the assault was a due act if he is supporting leftism. I admire any changes bought to this old, traditional, stubborn, department which is full of professors but ironically, no teachers.
Disappointly, Prof Chan failed to address the underlying causes of lesson-skipping. Further, as the first semester almost ends, applying penalty to the students do nothing to remedy. The students may believe that the penalty reflects the anger of Prof Chan only. Referring to the issue of fake signatures, not only the students should be blamed, but also the course coordinator, who designed the faulty system.
so mo liu to type this....as a practice for JRE, haha..
